Chillaxin under a palm? Don’t forget to tell your bestie “wish you were here”.
Keeping kids busy over summer vacation can be really challenging. I've managed to get a few minutes of down-time (for myself) with these little projects. All three involve materials that you may already have on hand!
1. Gumdrop and toothpick structures
2. Yarn and popsicle stick "God's Eye"
3. Decorated pet rocks (Sharpie, pompoms, felt, pipecleaners, glue)

Arrr, Matey! Thar be new artwork in the shop!

Just in time for vacation, pen pals and summer camp!

Skip the frame! Our most popular ABC art is now available in canvas. #kids #nurserydecor #wallart

Even “good for you” food looks better on the right plate.
What better gift to give a new baby than a warm, snuggly blanket? Better yet, a totally custom, heirloom-quality, patchwork blanket.
A few weeks ago I enlisted the help of Barb Patrick from Bitty Birdie Design to create a blanket using our "Forest Fellows" (Robert Kaufman) fabrics. Barb added in fabrics from her personal collection and came up with a stunning design. It's a great balance of retro and modern that works equally well in a nursery for boys or girls.
Whether you're interested in fabrics from Sea Urchin Studio, or a combination that is all your own, Bitty Birdie can help you create a beautiful blanket that will be treasured for years to come.

We've been busy making new art this month! Our watercolor mermaid was due for a makeover, and the matching seahorse and turtle got one as well. All are available in our shop, in your choice of either premium fine art paper or canvas.

Day 5: MATS prep | Textures

Day 3: "Make Art That Sells" creative prep. Today's assignment was to photograph some of our collections.
By nature, I'm a treasure hunter. I don't shop a lot, and rarely buy collectibles, but I can't walk on a beach or go on a hike without scanning the ground for little bits of nature.
